LATICRETE International
LATICRETE International contracted with Pustola & Associates to design and build their new 32,000 sf World Headquarters in Bethany, CT. LATICRETE is a world-wide manufacturer and marketer of installation systems for ceramic tile and stone used in residential, commercial and industrial applications. Elaborate use of stone and tile material was used throughout the project to showcase LATICRETE products. The façade balances the heaviness of granite with glass curtain walls and radiused glass block walls.
Sophisticated and understated elegance is achieved in the interior spaces by contrasting clear maple and granite. The clear maple display cases soften the interior space’s corporate impression. The lobby space has a white granite cladded and glass stair. The lobby boasts an impressive barrel vault skylight that narrows to corridor width at the boardroom on the second floor that houses the executive offices. A tinted, textured blue glass tiled portico embraces the waterwall in the front of the cafeteria.
The building houses spaces one would expect to find in a corporate headquarters setting – offices, training and demo facilities, boardroom, conference rooms, and a dining area.
